    Your journey on the Gold Panning and Salmon Bake begins with a historical sightseeing tour of Juneau on your way to Gold Creek. Here, learn from the experts how to strike gold! You can pan in the creek, a trough, or barrel, making this accessible for everyone. Keep all the gold you find for the perfect souvenir! Next, a 20-minute drive takes you to the famous Gold Creek Salmon Bake which has been featured on Bravo's Top Chef for a meal you'll be dreaming about long after! This feast includes grilled wild Alaskan salmon, Cheechako chicken, baked beans, wild-rice pilaf, hot chowder, and more. Listen to live folk music while you enjoy your meal under the heaters, roast marshmallows at the campfire, or stroll along the creek to the magnificent waterfall.     Can you accommodate food allergies?

    What should we wear and bring?
    This tour operates rain or shine, and rain is common as we lie in a temperate rainforest! For comfort, we typically recommend long pants, closed-toed shoes, gloves, an extra pair of socks, warm layers and a waterproof jacket. Some guests choose to bring a small bag or backpack along to store extra layers, a bottle of water and cameras.
    What if our ship is delayed or doesn't make it into port. Refund?
    It's very rare that a ship is delayed into port, but in those cases, we will try our best to work with you to reschedule the tour to a later time. If that is not a possibility or your ship doesn't make it into port, we will refund you.

    Minimum Age: 3 years old
    Subject to cancellation if departure minimums are not met.
    Not wheelchair accessible. Guests must be able to step or be assisted onto the bus.
    Cancel up to 14-days before the tour for a refund. No refund is available if canceled within 14-days of the tour. If for any reason your tour is canceled, or if your cruise ship's schedule changes, you will receive a refund. Refunds do not include any non-refundable fees.     Your guides will pick you up at Mount Roberts Tramway, just a short walk from all the cruise docks for transport to the gold panning location.
