Description
The Yukon Suspension Bridge & Summit Tour is an unforgettable adventure and a highlight of your Alaskan travels. Offered by Skagway Shore Tours, this experience begins with a guided journey through Skagway's Historic District aboard a comfortable airporter tour bus, accommodating up to 32 passengers. Your knowledgeable guide will bring to life the stories of why Skagway was famously known as "the toughest town on Earth" during the Klondike Gold Rush of 1897-99.
Following the scenic Klondike Highway, the tour parallels much of the historic White Pass Trail on the way to the 3,292-foot summit. Marvel at the breathtaking sights of glacier-carved valleys, cascading waterfalls, majestic mountain peaks, and pristine wilderness. Beyond the summit lies the striking Tormented Valley in British Columbia, Canada, a hauntingly beautiful landscape that inspired the works of literary legends like Robert Service and Jack London.
The highlight of the tour is the Yukon Suspension Bridge, where you'll step onto the bridge for an exhilarating view of the raging Tutshi River below. Learn about the fascinating natural history and the legacy of the Klondike Gold Rush while strolling along the charming boardwalk surrounded by vibrant alpine wildflowers. This signature tour, offered by Skagway Shore Tours, perfectly combines adventure and discovery.
Throughout the excursion, you'll have opportunities to stop for photos, ensuring you capture the stunning scenery. As you return to your ship, the memories of the Yukon Suspension Bridge & Summit Tour—a unique experience offered by Skagway Shore Tours—will remain with you for years to come.
